Word Translator version 2.1 for the Mac ©Halldor Gislason Word Translator is a bilingual word translation software. It can be used like a normal dictionary to look up translations and also to translate words from within other applications. It possible to change words and translations in some versions of the program to extend and customise the standard dictionaries. Word Translator is very fast, simple and easy to use. It is meant to be a convenient tool to find translations so the emphasis so far has been on making the application fast and easy to use. Future versions will include a number of features including document translation. Our users use Word Translator to help with various tasks, including homework for language classes and composing business letters in a foreign languages. Professional translators use it to build their own dictionaries to use in their work, and others like using it as an assistant when studying foreign languages on their own. We are open for ideas about new features and improvements and welcome any feedback. Word Translator is shareware and is distributed as such. The applications and the dictionaries are the result of the hard work of many people that participate in the Word Translator project. The team includes people from all over the world which are working hard on various aspects of the project from dictionary creation to technical assistance and programming. Our goal is simple: we want to make a tool which makes it easier to bridge the language barrier. We believe that by doing so we can help people understand each other and appreciate the beautiful diversity of human life.
